Song 139SEE YOURSELF
WHEN ALL IS NEW

1. Just see yourself, just see me too;Just see us all in a world that is new.Think how you’ll feel, how it will be,To live in peace, to be truly free.No evil one will then prevail;Rule by our God cannot ever fail. The time will have come for a new earthly start,The song of our praiseswill pour out from our heart:(CHORUS)“We thank you, our God, for all you have done. All things are new by the rule of your Son.The fullness of our heart overflows in our song; All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”2. Now see yourself, and see me too;And look ahead to a world that is new.No sight we see, no sound we hearWill cause alarm or give rise to fear. All has come true, just as he said; Now over mankind, his tent is spread. He now will awaken those sleeping in death;Their voices will join ours withev’ry grateful breath:(CHORUS)“We thank you, our God, for all you have done. All things are new by the rule of your Son.The fullness of our heart overflows in our song; All glory and honor and praise to you belong.”(See Rev. 21:1-5; Ps. 37:10, 11; Isa. 65:17; John 5:28; 2 Pet. 3:13.)

OBITUARY

Frances Ann, lovingly called Ann, by family and friends, peacefully fell asleep in death on December 31, 2024.Ann was born to her proud parents, the late Frank Webb Hopkins and Frances J. Hopkins on January 12, 1936, in Birmingham, Alabama. She lived in Alabama with her sister and best friend, Patsy (Pat), and older brother, Harold. At the age of 19, in 1955, Ann joined the Navy and served in Virginia. That is where she met Duane Sells who would become her husband and father to their two children, a daughter, Lisa, and a son, Kerry. After marriage and leaving the military, Ann and Duane moved to Duane’s home state of Iowa. It was in Iowa that Ann had a pivotal change in her life. Some of Duane’s family were Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a young bride, she was taught the Bible by her mother-in-law, Albina Sells.Ann symbolized her dedication to her heavenly Father, Jehovah, by getting baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on January 13, 1962.Surrounded by friends and family, Ann raised her children and attended the local Kingdom Hall in Marshalltown, Iowa for some 60 years. She loved Iowa and serving her God Jehovah. While primarily serving in the local congregation there in Iowa, she was blessed with the privilege of traveling to where the need was greater for preaching in other locations. Ann also attended the Pioneer School for Full Time Servants. Ann’s love for the ministry was validated by one of her favorite scriptures, 2 Chronicles 16:9a: “As regards Jehovah, his eyes are roving about through all the earth to show his strength in behalf of those whose heart is compete toward him.” She knew her ministry provided an avenue to those who could benefit from hearing about Jehovah’s strength and purpose.Ann’s next big life change came in 2016. Because of health issues, she accepted the invitation to relocate to the Carlsbad, CA area to be close to her son, Kerry and daughter-in-law, Toni. There she continued in her ministry attending the Pacific View Congregation. On many days, Ann could be seen standing near a cart with the backdrop of the beautiful ocean with friends she came to know and love. While living in California, Ann added to her long list of friends. She developed a very close bond with them and they loved her dearly. Those close to Ann knew her to be more than a kind, beautiful person, who had a depth of spiritual knowledge, but she was also an avid sports fan.Ann had faith in Jehovah’s promise of a paradise earth to come, where all is new.Ann was preceeded in death by her father, Frank Webb Hopkins; mother, Frances J. Hopkins; brother, Harold J. Singletary; daughter, Lisa Sells Warner.Ann is survived by her son, Kerry (Toni); sister, Mary Patricia Phillips; grandson, Beau Bristol (Rebecca); great-grandchildren, Mikah (Rachel), Isabella, Lilliana, Marshall and Austin Bristol. Along with nephews and nieces and her sister-in-law, Doris Sells Valline, along with a host of other family and friends. We look forward to seeing Mom soon in the promised paradise. It's just around the corner.
